I enjoy English as a subject and it has always been a go to subject for me since primary school, I find it fun and light hearted if taught in the correct manner. when it comes to primary school English, I believe that it is important to grasp the children attention from a young age, as this sets them up for the rest of the schooling career in terms of their language, writing and reading skills, this is highly important to develop correctly from a young age.

I love the English language and I am able to explain concepts in ways that are easier to understand as well as I am able to notice and fix problem areas, I am also an avid reader and I enjoy literature and language thus I will be able to teach it better as the subject personally is enjoyable and hence I can make it enjoyable for you too.

I believe in phonics as a base, and then working one's way to comprehension. I've had the relevant training in Thailand. I enjoy the playful nature of teaching young learners. Planning of lessons and corrections at the right time is important as well. I have a huge amount of patience, and feel that I can assist any young learner!

I am actually Afrikaans born and raised but always had a love for english. I like to find out the meaning behind poems, and always loved writing and reading the stories given. I have obtained 82% for english in matric, as well as an average of 60%-80% in university (english law).

I enjoyed English in High School University. I am a self-motivated and innovative person with a passion and a thirst for learning and development. Having worked as a tutor before, I always inspire my students to reach for greatness with the right amount of focus and personal effort. I am able to inspire students to plan and reach their academic goals. I believe positivity and the right kind of motivation goes a long way.

I studied BA Law at the University of Pretoria from 2017-2019, majoring in English Literature. I received a distinction for English in first and second semester of my final year, as well as in matric. I believe I am best suited to tutor this subject because of the comprehensive knowledge and skill that I have acquired in the English language throughout the years I have had the pleasure of learning about it. I am particularly passionate about English Literature because of its personal impact on my recent life. The question isn't so much, "how much do we know about Shakespeare" but rather, "how well does Shakespeare know us?" The ability of literature to preserve itself over centuries stems from the fact that if you remove the words and punctuation, what lies at the heart of literature is human experience. And human experience is what connects us all universally, regardless of our differences. What was human experience in the 17th/18th century, remains human experience now. I made a choice to major in English Literature when I had a variety of modules to choose from. I have studied English at a university level and am passionate about the language. I also have two years of experience tutoring the subject at an institute with primary and high school learners. I will also provide any extra material needed to advance the students in their learning.

I am a book-worm through and through, with a love and admiration for the Classics, such as Shakespeare, Austen, etc. This love extends to poetry, plays and the technical aspects of the language, i.e. grammar and syntax, as well as the critical analysis of literature. I am also able to help with written assignments as well as the verbal aspects of the subject, such as speeches, vocabulary, pronunciation and elocution.
