I have a Master of Arts in Ancient Cultures and I graduated Cum Laude. History is my biggest passion. Although I focused on ancient history in my studies, I have a great love and knowledge of more contemporary history. I passed History with an A in Matric and I also completed a Metascience module in Dimensions of Historical Understanding at Stellenbosch University in 2014.

History is really important as it enables us to understand the actions humans made in the past; how this affects the present; and how it influences our future. The key to history is understanding it like a story. If a student can understand the events then writing essays and completing assignments are just a small obstacle to tackle instead of a giant mountain. I would be able to teach this story in the most simple way.

Having taken History as a subject for Matric, I believe I am familiar with the IEB syllabus. Furthermore, I have experience tutoring History to high school students ranging from grades 8 through to 12.

Grade 3 - Grade 9 history. This is my absolutely favorite subject. I am extremely passionate about it! I am good with younger children (I have 2 younger siblings).
