I have always achieved brilliant results in English in my entire school career. I have the ability to explain anything to its simplest form. My students have achieved great results after been tutored by me. I come highly recommended in every subject I have taught. I am patient and highly skilled in teaching. I have a love for English literature, having gained a distinction in my final high school results. I am analytical and can approach the subject both from a perspective of inspiring a student to like/enjoy the subject, as well as from a perspective of knowing how to break it down and understand it.

English is my passion: it was one of the majors of my first degree at UCT, and is currently the subject I teach at the private high school where I am employed. I have extensive knowledge of the CAPS and IEB curricula, as well as experience in the Cambridge curriculum; finally, I have experience teaching English in a wide range of modalities, from in-person, to the context of a classroom, to online.

I'm a patient and kind teacher, who in high school received above 85% for both English literature and language, as well as for Advanced Programme English. I am passionate about storytelling, writing, and reading - all of which are both hobbies and skills that can be taught, which is where I come in.

My undergraduate studies involved courses in literature and language, both in English and German. When I matriculated in 2014, I also obtained distinctions for both these subjects. As a Masters student in Anthropology, I now spend the vast majority of my time on academic writing: playing with theoretical texts, producing ethnographic tracts based on fieldwork. A curiosity about language and the many ways in which one can use it is central to my studies.

I am passionate about English literature and have good language skills. I have done very well in English at high school and at university. In matric I received the prize for English and for Advanced Programme English. I received the Rogier Courau Prize for second year English at the University of the Witwatersrand. I also placed twelfth in the English Olympiad in 2014. I love to pass on my passion for English and will go beyond expectations to provide an enriching learning experience.

I have skills to teach children to read and write . in my primary years I obtained two certificates which also put my school on the second level with reading. I always make sure that my students pass and understand the subject .I've also passed ENN1501 with flying colours in my current year at unisa. I'm always available for any questions my students may have

I attained the NRF bursary for Honours in English Literature at Wits University and was asked to teach first year students. I have also taught many high school students and have helped them achieve distinctions in English. I am also a passionate writer and poet.

I have always been in involved in teaching and developing skills in one form or another whether it was when volunteering to work with pre-school children in Minnesota, USA or as a senior English HL language facilitator in Johannesburg. Having been an English Home Language teacher for 10 years at senior high school level, I have become passionate about skill building.
