I did well in Life Sciences throughout my high school career. It is one of my favourite subjects. I have tutored Life sciences to matric students in a SSIP (Secondary School Improvement Programme) programme in Alexandra, Johannesburg.

I have an in-depth knowledge of the subject from my school days where I always achieved great results compounded with my medical background. I have taught my fellow students and other healthcare professionals issues of anatomy and physiology in most of my healthcare career

I loved learning about all the processes within living organisms, and it is very useful in everyday life. I use colour and visuals to make the content interesting, fun, and aid learning and memory recall.

My undergraduate, Honours and Masters degrees are in the biology field. I consider myself an expert in Life Sciences, Ecology and Zoology. I consider myself proficient in 1st-year level physiology/anatomy and plant sciences.

I have a general passion for sciences and biology was one of my best subjects in high school. I have tutoring experience in the subject as well as life sciences. I believe setting the right foundation for the student will enable them to do well in their studies

I have extensive studies in this field and find the subject very interesting. I will try my best to transfer this love and enjoyment of the subject to my students. I have studied Medical Sciences and Medicine, so I have an excellent grasp of the subject matter. During my BSc degree at UP, I took Molecular and Cell Biology in first year and I took Microbiology and Biochemistry up to third year level as majors. I also did Genetics in second year. During my honours year, I also took subjects that required a background in biology such as bioinorganic chemistry and medicinal chemistry.

Having taken Biology as an elective subject for matric, I feel I am familiar and well equipped to tutor primary and high school students. Additionally, I have experience tutoring high school students ranging from grades 8 through to 12.

Knowledge of many concepts in biology because I was reading many articles during my MSc, a internship abroad, and during my PhD. An overall of 84% during my BSc that included versatile practicals during the last year.
