I ended my matric year with a final mark of 85% for English Home Language and i am an avid reader as well passionate about creative writing, thus i can try help learners find the joy and creativity in a subject as overlooked as the English language.

I received a distinction for English in my matric year and am studying English in university. I am passionate about the subject and love the subject as a whole. I enjoy teaching others and providing further insights to the information available.

In my final year of high school (2018), I had achieved 82% for English. I have taught numerous students English and they all achieved higher marks once I had helped them. English is my first language and I have many notes I have made over the years that I can use to help students with this subject.

I achieved a final mark of 86% for my NSC exams in English First Additional Language. Languages is a great passion of mine and it has some of the best and easiest tactics to teach students to excel in this subject.

During my undergraduate degree, i completed two years of English literature studies at the university of the Witwatersrand which i found to be thoroughly enjoyable. In addition to this, i majored in German language and literature which exposed me to literature at different depths and characteristics which i found to be incredibly fascinating and beautiful. Furthermore, my postgraduate German Degree also encompassed courses of English literature which broadened my knowledge of literature through different genres, types and time periods. I do believe that this experience with languages along with my natural love and passion for the subject would make me the best possible tutor.

English was one of my best subjects at school, which is why I know I have the ability of being the best tutor when it comes to this subject, like any other subject, once a person has a better understanding of the basics the rest will be easier to understand and learn.

English can be challenging but I believe I have the ability to start with the basics and build your understanding from there. I like finding new ways to explain different things and I'm passionate about what I do. I can help with Language skills as well as Literature; from novels, poetry and plays. I can help primary, highschool and tertiary students.

I have experience as an English lecturer. This included all aspects of the role, from curriculum design to lesson plans and assessment. I am able to create learning material for you as an individual to assist you with learning in your own unique style. Additionally, I understand assessment and the importance of not only knowing the content, but also how to answer questions and to use that knowledge for academic development and achievement.

I have a lot of experience. I have taught a number of school, different curriculum and learners from different backgrounds. I have also done home schooling where the teacher and learner rapport is very important. English is kind of my home language because that is the language a spend most of my time speaking.
