I ended my matric year with a final mark of 87% for Afrikaans Additional Language, even though i grew up in Thailand and had never even heard of Afrikaans until i was 12 years old. I can prove to students that even though Afrikaans might not be your home language, with the right teacher and work ethic anything is possible.
