My name is Max. I was a student at St John's College, in Johannesburg, and matriculated in 2019. I received 6 distinctions, including Advanced Program English, two of which were 90s. My top subjects were English, Drama, and History. In Drama I was in the top 1% of my subject and got 100% for all of my final practicals, and I placed 10th in the national English Olympiad, which nearly 6000 students participated in. I love to talk and get to know people, and I know all about the struggles of high school. I myself consulted numerous tutors and credit much of my success to them. I am currently studying literature and languages at the University of Pretoria. Hi, my name is Lisa Dreyer. I am currently a second-year Financial Sciences Student at the University of Pretoria. I have a passion for accounting and personal financing and thoroughly enjoy teaching the subject. I believe in teaching with purpose rather than for passing. I go through topics methodically and thoughtfully with students in order to ensure that they not only understand the concepts and methods but the reasoning and purpose behind them in a manner that best suits their own learning style and ability. I aim to teach methods which students can use to become more confident in their abilities in order for them to see accounting not as a daunting task but rather as a fun and stimulating intellectual challenge.

My greatest passion in life is teaching. I have been a maths tutor for 3 years now, I tutor Gr1 to Gr7 students and have also tutored Gr10 and Gr11. I Enjoy helping students learn the things they believe they will never be able to grasp and always try to make every learning experience a fun one. If needed I have had up to second year university maths and can help with many other subject backgrounds as I achieved a High matriek mark for my subjects and study engineering.
