Spanish tutors in Pretoria

I am in my second year of Spanish (intermediate level) and I plan to do my honors in the subject. Spanish is my absolute passion and I hope to be a Spanish translator in the future. I have tutored beginners as well as my class mates.

I have a B1 level understanding of the language so I can easily teach conversational Spanish and basic grammar and language. I have taught conversational Spanish before and am confident in my ability.

I have been teaching Spanish for 10 years. Spanish is my mother tongue, I am from Venezuela, South America. I will be able to teach you according to your needs, I will teach you the differences in accent and pronunciation from different Spanish-speaking countries. We will work mainly on speaking and listening to get you taking in no-time, unless you request otherwise :)

I am fluent in Spanish and have worked in Spain for a year teaching. I also studied and achieved a distinction for Spanish at University. I have a good understanding of Spanish from Spain but also South America.

I am an energetic, ambitious, mature, positive and hardworking individual, who always strives to achieve the highest standard possible, at any given task. I posses excellent communication skills and I have the ability and experience to relate to a wide range of people. My greatest strengths are my research, communication and writing skills. I am currently a student at the University of Pretoria in the BA Languages (English Studies) program. While I am a student I want to gain valuable experience that will help me with the development of my professional career.

I was born in Caracas, Venezuela and I moved to South Africa when she was 14 years old. I have a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Pretoria and I have been teaching Spanish for seven years in private schools such as the British Academy in Pretoria and several Spanish institutes designed for adult students. In addition to teaching I have been a freelance translator and interpreter and I am the owner of my own company, Language Culture and Communication Services (LCCS) in Pretoria. I have taught Spanish to over 200 students from different nationalities such as French, Mandarin, English etc. both children and adults, in groups and on one-on-one basis. I prefer a communicative methodology when teaching and I believe that it is important to use Spanish from the beginning of the training. Spanish is my mother tongue, however I am fluent in English and I have a basic level in French.
