My name is Max. I was a student at St John's College, in Johannesburg, and matriculated in 2019. I received 6 distinctions, including Advanced Program English, two of which were 90s. My top subjects were English, Drama, and History. In Drama I was in the top 1% of my subject and got 100% for all of my final practicals, and I placed 10th in the national English Olympiad, which nearly 6000 students participated in. I love to talk and get to know people, and I know all about the struggles of high school. I myself consulted numerous tutors and credit much of my success to them. I am currently studying literature and languages at the University of Pretoria. My hours are relatively flexible, and I will do all I can to make myself available to you, and teach in a judgement free and high energy environment. I was one of the top English students at my school, St John's, achieving an 89% in my matric exams. I also placed 10th in the national English Olympiad, in which nearly 6000 students competed. I have a knack for understanding and explaining literature, particularly poetry and Shakespeare. I am also currently studying literature at UP.
