I am a native English speaker who is passionate about literature. I also have a 120 hour TESOL course qualification which equips me to teach the language. Beyond that, I achieved 85% for English in matric.

I am excited to see learners succeed and become self- reliant and self -motivated. One of the biggest "gifts" that I can give my learners is to show them that they can do anything that they set their minds on. I, as a remedial teacher with 30 years experience, have seen that children, especially those that have challenges with reading and writing, just need someone to believe in them.

My passion for the English language is reflected through my excellent results throughout my schooling career. I am skillful in explaining abstract concepts in simple terms that will help children excel in their understanding of the subject.

English has always been one of my favourite subjects. I am an avid reader and I am fastidious about grammar, punctuation and the likes! In high school, I did both English first language (FAL) and Advanced Programme English. I achieved a distinction for both. I also have experience in teaching English. I am patient and thorough which I feel are both important skills when teaching English. I hope to instil my love of the language in all of my students!

I have been an English language editor for seven years. I have extensive experience in coaching authors and students at all levels in a variety of contexts and correcting language problems. I am able to assist English second-language speakers, adults and youths. I can offer effective coaching and training in English grammar, literacy and literature as well as business and academic writing. I have a BA in English language and literature, which was awarded with distinction. I am currently registered as an English honours student.

I have 3 years of experience in teaching Foundation Phase learners at a private school. I enjoy teaching English to the kids and love seeing learners succeed in what they were struggling with. I am very patient and believe that I can be an asset to any child with struggles.

I received a distinction for English in matric (IEB). In university I do a lot of writing and reading heavy subjects which has lead me to become a talented and experienced essay writer. I am also a huge book lover and reader of most literature.

I have three years teaching experience and am TEFL certified. I have also taught English in South Korea for two and taught online for a year. I love language learning and am an avid reader. I enjoy sharing my love of languages with my students and helping them understand what they are reading.
