English Language and Literature tutors in Cape Town

I am passionate about writing and the English language and every decision that I have made in my career has been inspired by these passions. I have BA Languages (Journalism) (cum laude) and English Honours degrees. I have worked as a copywriter and editor for the past eight years. As I am currently working on a freelance basis, I have time to add something more meaningful to my work. Sharing my passion with young students and helping them to achieve their potential is a wonderful way for me to do just that.

I am a friendly and enthusiastic 31-year old who loves learning, teaching and languages. I'm a natural teacher and have extensively studied my subject, thus I am a perfect match! I live with my dog, my sister and her two cats in a house in Cape Town.

My name is Courtney. I have just completed 4 years of studying a Bsc in Human Life Science with 3 years Psychology as an extra subject, at Stellenbosch University. I will be living in Cape Town this year (2017). I am a hard-working, diligent, caring and compassionate person. I will create a fun, loving, vibrant, physical and healthy environment for your child. My experience with children range from one year olds to seventeen years old. I am very energentic and nurturing. I understand that as children grow, they need attention, reassurance and guidence to encourage and foster their development. I will provide this comfortable atmosphere for your child. I have flexible hours and I am avaiable on weekdays and weekends. I have had my drivers license since 2012 and I am a careful and safe driver with a reliable car.

Since I can remember music has been my passion! After completing my BMus Honours at NMMU, I went to Stellenbosch to study choral conducting. I then completed my Post Graduate Certificate of Education in English, social sciences and arts and culture.   My corporate experience at Real Meal Revolution as a community manager (blog writing, content writing, social media marketing and analysis),administrator and head of education for our online courses and products. My work  as an online educator included marking assignments, graduating students, and preparing them for sales training.  I also worked for an NPO, Carpe Diem. My main focus was to generate leads and collect donations.     I am dynamic, creative and enthusiastic I am unassuming, easy to approach and easy to  get along with. I  am a strong communicator, able to express myself fully in both English and Afrikaans.

I recently completed a four year BPsych degree (specialising in trauma counselling) with distinction. I have a strong interest in psychology and education and enjoy working with children and adolescents. I am academically driven and enjoy teaching others.

I am a matriculant, who is set to start 1st year Geomatics Engineering in March at the University of Cape Town. I play varsity rugby in my free time and love being active and fit.

I am a masters student at the University of Johannesburg studying LLM Banking Law. I am looking looking forward to starting my doctoral studies. I want to be an academic. I love working with students and I want to see them prosper, in line with that, I make monthly contributions to Save the Children, an organisation that helps children with no one to care for them. It is my dream to be part of helping the youth of South Africa learn.

I love working with children and young adults. I am so passionate about teaching and researching and I constantly think that I was born a tutor.I consistently believe in taking challenges and exploring new, ingenious concepts to improve efficiency.

I am currently a student going into my second year of study at UCT where I am studying Chemical Engineering. I am passionate about working with children and aim to be a positive influence in their lives.
