I grew up in a german-speaking family, and went to a german school for 8 years. I can therefore speak german fluently, and I know all of the grammar rules necessary to help other people learn it. This makes me the perfect person to help others with learning german!

I was born in Germany and consider it as my home language. I am fluent and communicate with my family in German. I also attended the German School in Cape Town for nine years and continued having German as a subject afterwards.

Growing up in a German Household in Namia and visiting a German primary school, I am completely fluent in all aspects of German. Working in the Tourism Industry dealing with German travelers has given me the opportunity to perfect my Business German. I have taught English abroad and no what approach is important when teaching a foreign language. I am easy going and happy to schedule classes and material according to what you need and what suits you best! I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Being born and raised in Germany, this is my native language. I enjoyed German a lot as a subject in High School, no matter if grammar, writing, vocabulary, or literature. A few of my past working experiences required German language skills, and I have further experience in teaching it as a foreign language.

I have German B1 level. I was the top student in my grade every year for german in Highschool with a 90% average and above. Ive done a 3 month exchange to germany in 11th grade and I studied and lived in Germany for 4 years during my undergraduate degree. After that I also worked as one of 3 German consultants at a call centre for airport lounge access. Here my duties included talking to Germans over the phone, as well as communicating with them via email.

I`m a German native speaker and did my Master's in Teaching two Foreign Languages. I have already taught German as a foreign language in schools, as well as English and Spanish. Having experienced the language learning process from different perspectives as a learner and a native speaker makes me the best tutor for this subject.

Experience of teaching and tutoring for 10 years in groups or individually. Taught students from the ages of 5 to adults in a professional setting. Additionally,I studied Childhood development and Cognitive Neuroscience (UCT) and therefore can teach according to every individual’s learning style. Decades ago I learned German as a foreign language myself, so I am very aware of the grammar difficulties students face. Repetition, co-operative learning and blended learning are my methods. I have vast material for online teaching (Zoom). We learn a new language by laughing at differences of other languages and finding similarities to retain grammar rules and vocabulary. We learn about the German culture and Germany itself. In this way, we learn German in context.

I am currently a 2nd year law student at UCT. My GPA (grade point average) is 77% (a first). I studied German and French at Warwick University in the UK for a year, before beginning my degree at UCT.

I can teach exam technique well and have great grasp on content.

I am dedicated, hard working and goal oriented. I love sport & fitness and have coached hockey & cross country as well as given general body toning sessions.
