I throughly enjoyed English as a subject in school and did well. I also love the language and enjoy teaching it as I find the subject very versatile and I am able to make the learning process very creative and enjoyable. Also, I have tutored this subject before.

I have completed a 200hour TEFL course with an in-class component of 20 hours through i-to-i TEFL academy. I am passionate about the English Language and about the children I teach. I will support your child through their development at a pace comfortable to them.

English can be difficult subject to maneuver and get the hang of learning how to interpret and answer the questions - however I am able to help with that and teach the student the necessary information on how to do so.

I have taught English as a home language as well as a second additional language in a classroom setting. In 2019 I was the term planner for grade 8 English. I try to make my lessons as fun as possible by making use of PowerPoint presentations and videos.

I'm avid reader and writer, as a consequence I'm constantly broadening my vocabulary. My proficiency in English as a subject in the schooling system is superb, even if I do say so myself, I achieved 78% for English in Matric.

Because my full time job requires me to communicate in English. I have improved my skills of verbal and non verbal communication over the years. I also believe that my post graduate qualification enhanced my English writing skills.

Through attending University I was able to really develop my English language skills and it became what helped me achieve my Dean's list status. I have a degree in English Literature from Varsity College where I graduated at the top of my class with 19 distinctions. I have a knack for essay writing & have a tried-and-tested essay formula which can be applied to any subject.

I really enjoyed English during high school and remain an avid reader. I finished Matric with 90% in English and it was one of my proudest marks. I hope that I may be able help others enjoy the subject and achieve in it just as I did.

Literature is very important in building a child's confidence when reading. Writing is one of my passions. I absolutely love the art of writing. I teach children that their answers to questions in the English language should not simply be one word answers, but the reasoning behind their argument is what gets the best marks when writing essays or book reviews. The foundation of the English language is a solid vocabulary. Hence, I value children and their level of understanding. I work on basic spelling, and word building so that this enhances their skills and language ability.
