I throughly enjoyed English as a subject in school and did well. I also love the language and enjoy teaching it as I find the subject very versatile and I am able to make the learning process very creative and enjoyable. Also, I have tutored this subject before.

I have completed a 200hour TEFL course with an in-class component of 20 hours through i-to-i TEFL academy. I am passionate about the English Language and about the children I teach. I will support your child through their development at a pace comfortable to them.

English can be difficult subject to maneuver and get the hang of learning how to interpret and answer the questions - however I am able to help with that and teach the student the necessary information on how to do so.

I have taught English as a home language as well as a second additional language in a classroom setting. In 2019 I was the term planner for grade 8 English. I try to make my lessons as fun as possible by making use of PowerPoint presentations and videos.

I'm avid reader and writer, as a consequence I'm constantly broadening my vocabulary. My proficiency in English as a subject in the schooling system is superb, even if I do say so myself, I achieved 78% for English in Matric.

Because my full time job requires me to communicate in English. I have improved my skills of verbal and non verbal communication over the years. I also believe that my post graduate qualification enhanced my English writing skills.

I have a degree in English Literature from Varsity College where I graduated at the top of my class with 19 distinctions. I have a knack for essay writing & have a tried-and-tested essay formula which can be applied to any subject.

I really enjoyed English during high school and remain an avid reader. I finished Matric with 90% in English and it was one of my proudest marks. I hope that I may be able help others enjoy the subject and achieve in it just as I did.
