I tutored this subject professionally with a company that was employing me in 2017. In 2018 and 2019, I tutored Writing and Rhetoric as a Peer Tutor at the African Leadership Academy. I have a strong grasp of the intricacies of English and performed very well in it as an academic subject.

I am an English home language speaker. I would consider myself proficient in the language. I also love reading and did well in school in English, especially in comprehension and essay writing. I have also been tutoring English for 3 years.

I am a patient person and am willing to sit down with someone and help them understand a certain aspect for as long as it takes before moving on. I also am able to teach things in different ways to help different people understand things and also have some creative ways of teaching things.

Literature is my strong suit. It's what I've spent three years studying at variety and it's what got me my distinction in Matric. I also love critically analysing and it's a skill I think everybody should have. I believe that I am able to teach people how to be critical and independent thinkers.

I am very passionate about the world of English, maybe too passionate sometimes. (I am a terrible grammar nazi, haha) English and the spheres that it encompasses allow individuals to truly express themselves and be able to explain their opinion, perspective, emotions and feelings. I will approach tutoring the English Language in a more modern and current way. I have always had a passion for the English language ever since I was young. I loved learning to discover the language through reading and analysing books and novels. Yes there are rules for various aspects in English however free thought and creativity is so encouraged which is why I loved learning about it so much.
