I have a passion for the subject. English was one of my majors during undergraduate studies and I am also currently studying to become an English and History teacher. I have experience with helping younger children learn English, since I worked overseas for 3 years. I also completed my TEFL degree, so if you are learning English as a foreign language, I will also be able to help you. It is important to me to make learning an enjoyable experience and I will do my best to help you achieve your personal goal.

I throughly enjoyed English as a subject in school and did well. I also love the language and enjoy teaching it as I find the subject very versatile and I am able to make the learning process very creative and enjoyable. Also, I have tutored this subject before.

I will use different teaching styles suitable for the learners needs, to try make learning enjoyable. I will use interactive methods to guide them to achieve their goals but also make the excited and eager to want to learn more.

I have completed a 200hour TEFL course with an in-class component of 20 hours through i-to-i TEFL academy. I am passionate about the English Language and about the children I teach. I will support your child through their development at a pace comfortable to them.

English can be difficult subject to maneuver and get the hang of learning how to interpret and answer the questions - however I am able to help with that and teach the student the necessary information on how to do so.

I have taught English as a home language as well as a second additional language in a classroom setting. In 2019 I was the term planner for grade 8 English. I try to make my lessons as fun as possible by making use of PowerPoint presentations and videos.

I'm avid reader and writer, as a consequence I'm constantly broadening my vocabulary. My proficiency in English as a subject in the schooling system is superb, even if I do say so myself, I achieved 78% for English in Matric.

Because my full time job requires me to communicate in English. I have improved my skills of verbal and non verbal communication over the years. I also believe that my post graduate qualification enhanced my English writing skills.

English was one of my favourite subjects when I was at school. Through attending University I was able to really develop my English language skills and it became what helped me achieve my Dean's list status. I am patient and understanding when it comes to teaching others which in addition to my experience in the subject would make me a suitable tutor.

I have a degree in English Literature from Varsity College where I graduated at the top of my class with 19 distinctions. I have a knack for essay writing & have a tried-and-tested essay formula which can be applied to any subject.
