Hello! My name is Rhiannon Murray and I am a 23 year old female teacher. I attended the University of Cape Town for the duration of my two degrees (Bachelor of Arts, triple majoring in English, History and Film and Media and PGCE specialising in SP/FET in English and History methods. ) I am now an official teacher who is looking for a position where I can inspire, assist and support a fellow learner in achieving their goals. I have a very unique approach to education and believe it should be something that excites an individual rather than induces a sense of fear or anxiety. I, therefore, keep my tutoring and teaching methods as fun and entertaining as possible whilst still being exceptionally educational. I am qualified to teach my methods: English and History; which are subjects that I absolutely love and I would be privileged to share my passion with a fellow student, at an SP/FET level (Gr8-12) I believe in constant growth and learning and I hope that I can help someone do so. I also cannot wait to learn from my student as well As, after all, I am also still on a journey of learning. I am excited to meet you and help you along your journey! :)

History has been a subject I have loved since junior school all the way up to my postgrad (and further!). The past and the events that occur amaze and intrigue me. To be able to analyse and understand how the world worked and operated many years ago is fascinating to me and helps us analyse how the world might proceed in the future. To be able to interact with a variety of different individuals who either changed the world or damaged it, and learn everything behind what made them tick and the reasoning behind certain events will help you to analyse the world today and see how things may unfold in the future. I hope that my passion and love for this subject and all of the worldy events it holds, will inspire you to love it as much as I do. Furthermore, with my background as an English educator I will be able to assist you with the more 'harder aspects' of History such as writing essays and analysing sources. I hope to explore our past as a species with you and learn new and exciting facts!

I am very passionate about the world of English, maybe too passionate sometimes. (I am a terrible grammar nazi, haha) English and the spheres that it encompasses allow individuals to truly express themselves and be able to explain their opinion, perspective, emotions and feelings. It is a beautiful way to share stories and create stories, to emote yourself and analyse the intricacies of literary creations. I will approach tutoring the English Language in a more modern and current way. I understand how tedious studying English can be, so I am here to help you through it and make it a more exciting, fulfilling and worldy educational experience. We will delve into the various worlds of poems, novels, short stories and other literature, together. We will explore the depths of grammar and vocabulary and come out of it with an intrigue, excitement and passion for the English language.
