I am extremely good and passionate about mathematics literacy theory. I passed the subject with an A in matric and throughout school. I found it extremely interesting and I know good study techniques too.

I absolutely hated maths throughout school. It was something that never clicked for me and caused many, many tears and upset - so I get it! Then I switched to Maths Lit in Grade 10 and my perspective changed completely. You can actually enjoy maths when it's practical like maths lit is. I ended up getting my highest mark in Matric for Maths Lit, so I believe I would be able to help you. I also come from a place of patience because I completely understand how hard and frustrating maths can be.

My best assets are the extensive experience I have in different areas of school, my ability to teach almost any subject and my ability to see the big picture and suggest creative solutions for problems or needs. I assist students to interact with their environment to make it easier to relate to the subject content and will arrange for excursions to simulate this with real life experiences.

I consider my self the best tutor for Mathematical Literacy because I always came out at the top of my class, for best performance in English and Maths Literacy for which I was awarded a certificate. My high school average was always above 75%. I have also acquired a diploma in Credit Management from a renowned University of Johannesburg with more than 8 distinctions mostly in Business law. I am a very patient person, self starter and I pay attention to details.

I am an Industrial and Systems Engineer by profession. I completed with above-average grades over 96credits worth of mathematics credits over 4 years of my degree. I also did Ordinary level math (A grade) and Advanced level high school math (B). I have also applied various mathematical models and concepts in my profession as an engineer.

I have experience teaching Mathematics Literacy at primary school level. I was able to help my students to understand key concepts at primary school level. Mathematics is a skill needed everyday in order to solve problems and to manage our lives.

Mathematics Literacy is something we use very often in our daily lives which is why it’s such a cool subject to have and why we can relate the subject to our everyday lives. It is a lot easier once you understand the concepts and having it explained to you in a way that you can relate to makes it so much easier for that concept to “click” which means less learning and more understanding giving you a lot more time to practice the questions instead of trying to learn concepts.
