I am a third year student studying Bachelor of education at Witwatersrand, majoring in mathematics and science. My home language is Afrikaans and fluent in English as I study in English. With this I have 2 years of experience with great results.

I am here to help you, teach you and show you the different ways of doing math, but ultimately you need to put in the work too. We got this!!

I am the best teacher for this for all the reasons listed under Mathematics but also because I believe it should be practical Mathematics rather than Mathematical Literacy and try to take away the language barrier it is often couched in. I try to make the work as real to the learner's own life as possible and make the calculations relevant and easy to follow. I do not just give recipes that the learners must follow and remember they have to understand what they are doing.

I found this subject to be easy if the key concepts are explained properly. I achieved 89% for the subject in matric and tutored many of my classmates when they didn’t understand something. I think I can properly explain key concepts and teach this subject to students.

I am passionate about teaching, and I am very good in Mathematics. I matriculated in 2008 with distinction on the subject and since then I have assisted many learners with Mathematics. My passion extends to the fact that I can do research on concepts that may be troublesome for me to find different angles were they can be attacked

Maths literacy enthusiasts and love to speak about the practicalities of maths literacy. Maths literacy is very much practical and has a place in our life's and can help with managing financials and as well as construction of your surroundings.

I have a love for maths and all things mathematical as I do enjoy questioning things and working them out until I have the answer. Although I was never incredible strong in pure maths, I did enjoy it in high school but then I flicked through a Maths lit textbook and found that this maths seemed more practical and easier to use in everyday life. I am a very practical person and I don't like wasting time learning things that I can't use so I decided to change to maths lit in my matric year. I found the subject very interesting and useful and I use it in my everyday life which I love!

Math pure was my best subject in school, I passed matric with a 90% average. I love problem solving, I am patient and always aim to find ways in which to explain problems according to the students understanding and thought processes. I acknowledge that every student is different and adapt my tutoring accordingly.

Mathematics Literacy is one of my favorite subjects. After successfully completing my National Senior Certificate with two distinctions of which Mathematics Literacy being one of those distinctions.
