I am dedicated to ensuring that your child understands the work that they are doing. I am patient as I understand that mathematics does not come easily to everyone. My goal is to improve your child's skills, and therefore confidence, so that they may do their best.

Math is a subject that brings anxiety to a lot of students because they believe it is hard, impossible to understand and enjoy. My aim is to help people who have traditionally had problems with arithmetic start to build confidence in their skills, change their perspective towards the subject and breathe life into it. I do not only care about teaching the content, but about the students being taught as well.

I took Math and Statistics courses in both my Undergraduate (NYU) and Masters (LSE) degrees. I did complete high school in South Africa and, thus, have a thorough understanding of the math curriculum.

I am an experienced Foundation Phase Educator who likes to use concrete materials, while explaining mathematical concepts. I get creative while counting, manipulating numbers, completing number patterns, playing with shapes, measuring and collecting data. My learners are engaged during my lessons and we always have fun. Revision plays an important part during the learning journey and I always consolidate topics before tests.

I have a passion for Maths and problem solving. I am a very logical person and my love for Maths allowed me to achieve excellent marks. I will be able to explain mathematical concepts and help with the understanding of higher level thinking questions.

I have successfully completed multiple varisty-level mathematics modules, I have developed the ability to understand mathematical concepts at a abstract level. Furthermore, as my studies suggest, I have an interest for mathematics and the challenges therein.

I love foundation phase maths and love teaching it. I am very methodical and patient and love the feeling of when a student grasps the concept that I am teaching. I am passionate and determined to ensure that young students build a healthy relationship with maths at an early age to ensure that they don't experience difficulties later in their school career.

Maths has always been by number one subject since I achieved very high marks all throughout high school (mostly in the 90's percentile). I also strongly believe that I have found an easier way to interpret mathematical problems, making it much more comprehendible for the average person. I am also currently studying Engineering and my mathematical skills have therefore increased since I left high school.

I matriculated with a distinction in Maths and in high school I did Maths Paper 3 and Advanced Programmed Mathematics. I obtained over 70% for both subjects. I also love numbers. I am patients, analytical and good at simplifying complex concepts.
