I love maths and I have valuable skills that can help any student that is struggling with the subject. I got a distinction for maths in my senior certificate and I have helped tutor students with it since 2018. I know the basic skills to make anyone understand the most difficult concepts in math.

Mathematics was my strongest subject in school and after undergoing intense mathematical subjects in university, my knowledge of the foundations of the subject which are taught in school are proficient. I find it easy to explain mathematical concepts such that it is easy for the student to grasp.

I am patient and have various approaching methods to how to tutor maths that fits the student's learning abilities. It is very important to makes sure that no steps are missed in the foundation phase of mathematics because it might influence one's abilities to do maths in a later stage in their lives. Therefore it is important to revert back to stepping stones missed previously and make sure the student is up to date.

I have been helping students in my school ever since. I was always very good in maths but if I am missing out on anything I go out of my way to research it. Maths for me is no different to a language.

I did core maths as well as AP maths in high school and it was my best subject, getting 99% for core maths for my final and 96% for AP maths for my final. I feel the most important part of maths is understanding the concept and sometimes you just need to look at something I different way and I can help you do that.

Mathematics was always one of my favourite subjects in high-school, mainly because of the fantastic teacher I had. He was always patient with me and helped me out in any way possible. I would love to keep his memory alive by practising the same things with other students. By working at the pace of the student and improving their mathematical abilities I hope to achieve the above.

Mathematics is connected to daily routine. Life is all about numbers and only a few of us can make that connection. Mathematics is about being patient , being a striker in football you can understand I have got plenty of that . I have been described at times as being a « mathematically gifted student » that is solemnly thanks to my work ethic . I want to teach mathematics to someone who is enthusiastic about it .

Having had a “fear of maths”, I have found various ways in teaching mathematics (games, story telling etc.) to make the subject not only fun but interesting in ways that will ensure learners will understand the work. I have the patients to explain the work in ways that will ensure the learner understands (everyone has different learning skills).

Dr L.T. Bell is a registered (South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions ) Senior Scientist. In addition, he has several extended learning training such as Project Management, Business Fundamentals and Tutoring Training. Dr Bell have a full qualification in natural sciences and more than 5 year experience. Obtained an A for grade 12.

I find math extremely interesting because regardless of what profession you choose to go into you will have to be able to understand maths and how to problem solve. I also recently did all of this for my matric finals and I achieved quite well in this subject in matric.
