I have a great passion for mathematics. I achieved excellent results for mathematics throughout my school career. I also completed a course in advanced programme mathematics (grade 10 -12). I have completed a degree in mechanical engineering at Stellenbosch university and therefore have a higher understanding of the subject

Growing up I struggled with Math, especially in High School. The biggest challenge was not being able to grasp concepts and formulas; my Math teachers just couldn't explain Mathematics in a way that I could understand. Once I started studying at University, all the lights went on and I finally understood. I have now successfully taught Mathematics for the past 5 years and have devised clever-to- understand learning methods that make Mathematics fun and achievable. I have done both Core Mathematics and AP Maths at school, and have excelled in both high-school and university level Maths. I am passionate about Maths, and have a good understanding of the core concepts. I feel I can not only help students build confidence in the subject, but develop in them a love for Maths as well!

I matriculated with a mark over 70 for mathematics and then further took an AP Calculus module in my first year which i passed. I had a very great and experienced math tutor in high school who taught me many little tips and tricks regarding the subject, and i am excited to pass on these little techniques i've learnt over the years.

After studying second year maths at UJ, I learnt a lot of mathematical principals that i would have liked to have known in high school. These are thing i would like to teach to my students at give them an advantage.

I achieved a distinction for Maths in matric and am currently still actively doing maths in my University Degree. This means it is still natural for me to do and understand the problems. I also have a natural ability with mathematical problems and I am able to teach it in an effective manner.

I obtained 7 distinctions in Matric and I have completed both 1st and 2nd year Undergradute Maths Courses at UCT. In teaching, I would hope to instill in them an appreciation for Maths as a universal language.

I absolutely love teaching maths up to a grade 9 level. I find it to be the most fun at this grade level. I have many ways of explaining the different concepts. This way it will help make maths fun. I have had a lot of experience in tutoring maths.

It is a complex subject that many don't get or understand therefore I am willing to carry my knowledge and love about the subject over to someone who struggles with it . This isn't an east subject to understand and I know where a child is coming from when saying that.
