Maths is my favourite subject! Whilst difficult in many ways, I have discovered good ways to assist learners who struggle in this subject, and I have a lot of experience in tutoring in Math. I can also help those who wish to excel further in Math. Lets work together to reach your Maths goals!

I have experience teaching Foundation phase grade R - 3 mathematics. I am familiar with the CAPS curriculum and what it entails. I have taught within both private and public South African schools.

I have tutored maths throughout my whole high school and partially in university. I have learnt to simplify learning of mathematics for anyone to understand through breaking down everything down to the fundamentals and then building your understanding one step at a time.

I am a highly qualified and experienced English Teacher with years of experience teaching a variety of ages groups in a variety of contexts. I am a dedicated teacher who has a commitment to lifelong learning. My teaching philosophy is summed up by the Maori word for learning ako, which views knowledge as a collective process: as you teach you learn, as you learn you teach. I have taught and lectured at various schools and colleges in South Korea, Oman, and South Africa. I completed a BA, an Honours in English, and an MA at Rhodes University. I also attained a Postgraduate Diploma in Tertiary Education from the University of South Africa and a PGCE from the University of the Witwatersrand. I have a TEFL certificate from the Bay Language Institute, a certificate in the Strategic Implementation of ICT Integration in Education from the University of the Witwatersrand, and completed my amanuensis training at the South African Comprehensive Assessment Institute.

I achieved 98 for final matric and 70 for first year mathematics. I have a deep understanding of the course material and will be able to guide any sort of thought process. I enjoy mathematics thoroughly and find pleasure in teaching others and seeing their perception of the syllabus.

I have past experience with tutoring children from Grade 1-12 in mathematics. I have been tutoring math to children for many years now. I did exceptionally well in mathematics in Matric, receiving 89%.
