I am an Engineer by profession. I love Maths and Physical Sciences. Maths is what I do on a daily basis. Physical Sciences is one of the subjects that I’ve achieved distinctions in for my matric. Hard work, dedication, time management and getting the best tutor for those extra lessons and consultations for your studies is the ways to go about doing extremely well in your studies. Beyond helping students to understand the topics, concepts and principles taught in their maths and physics subjects, I also help them with enhancing their logical and analytical thinking processes as they approach assignments and practice question papers for these subjects. Maths and science require logic and analytical skills. As much as students might have an understanding of what is required of them in tests and exams, they also need to learn a logical way of communicating their answers in such a way that examiners will clearly understand what the students are trying to do, giving students the opportunity to maximise their tests/exam scores. I believe the ‘one-size-fits-all’ concept does not apply in tutoring, hence I make it my main responsibility to understand the needs of each individual student and to offer them tutoring sessions that are relevant to their specific needs.

I taught Mathematics for 26+ years to the Junior Secondary Phase, namely from Grade 7 (Standard 5) to Grade 10 (Standard 8). My approach to teaching the subject had always been ensuring sound knowledge and understanding of the basics of the subject, as well as rectifying comprehension deficiencies through remedial assistance.

I have complete understanding of mathematical concepts. Be it Algebra, trigonometry, Analytical geometry linear algebra, etc. I am patient in my approach and work based on your understanding and weaknesses as a student/learner. In this time of covid-19, my face to face interaction will adhere to social distancing practices to ensure your safety. With all other required practices to avoid spread will be practiced.

I love this subject because it can be very challenging but with once you being to learn and master it becomes such a pleasure to do. I had many struggles with this subject and my determination to excel in this subject helped me develop a very strong passion and deep love for mathematics.

I am very passionate about mathematics and did well in High school. I am currently studying Civil Engineering at UP and have already passed all my mathematics and Calculus modules necessary for my degree.
