I was in the highest maths class in grade 11 and 12 (second highest in grade 10). I obtained an average of 85% for maths at the end of matric. I did trigonometry for first semester in university too, so my skills extend beyond high school maths. I also got above 70% for my maths NBT in matric.

I was first in my grade for maths in high school, Maths is a part of my day-to-day life as an engineering student and I am passionate about it and excited to help others. I love helping people understand and enjoy it too.

I have taught foundation phase maths for 6 years and really enjoy it. I have also assisted many senior phase learners as well. I am good at using different strategies to facilitate understanding and will use concrete materials when necessary.

Having always had a flare for mathematics, I performed well enough in high-school so as to have matriculated with a distinction. My good grades in school earned me a place in medical school to complete my dream of being a doctor. In my first year of university, having studied here in South Africa, I took up tutoring as a part time job. My core subjects taught included Mathematics. During my time spent at WITs pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree, I completed courses in Statistics, Calculus and Physics. This built on my foundation of teaching Mathematics. Students found that with my help and guidance, their marks, ability to problem solve and reason had greatly improved. Part of my teaching technique is to get students to learn how to problem solve early and independently, seeing as our mainstream education doesn't quite teach students to do so and thus learners' struggle through university and perform poorly.

Please note that my expertise only go as high as grade 9. I have set up many exams and tests and i have marked them. I have helped people to prepare for examinations and tests for years. I am patient and I always have more than one way to explain a method. I am good at breaking methods and calculations up into steps, as well as to provide additional resources.

I achieved 86% for mathematics in matric and have done first year university BSc maths. I really enjoy maths and am willing to help you achieve your best in the subject. Through dedication, hard work and determination we can make a change and achieve your goal.

I have been tutoring maths since I was top of my class in high school, so I have a lot of experience in the field. I continued to help people with maths during and after my studies at Wits. Thus I believe I am strong candidate to help with your mathematics needs.

I had Mathematics till matric and is also still using it in the degree that I am studying. I have a younger sibling that I tutored informally in Mathematics, therefore I still have a good understanding of the Mathematics that children do in Primary School.

Mathematics is and will always be my first love. I would have followed mathematician route had I had a chance but that's a story for another day. With maths practice can never be over emphasized.
