I'm studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pretoria (UP) and I have a year of experience teaching physics to first-year engineering students here at UP. I enjoy maths and physics and also enjoy helping people. I'm a bit of a nerd and enjoy video games, anime and also playing the ukulele and guitar. I hope I can be of help to you.

Physics Tutor

My job involved running weekly tutorials for two classes of about 30 students each. It was my responsibility to ensure that students had an understanding of the work and report back to the lecturer on what sections they were struggling with. I also had to conduct a test at the end of each tutorial session and then mark each test. This gave me experience in having to teach students of varied understanding and learning styles as well as bettering my own understanding of the subject matter.

Kingsway High School is a public High School situated in Amanzimtoti, south of Durban. It is the best high school in the area in terms of mathematics and physical science. In matric, I was the top mathematics and AP maths student and fourth in the overall grade of more than 200 students.

Beng Mechanical and Aeronautical - UP

I am in my third year of study as a mechanical engineering student at the University of Pretoria. I have been within the top 10% of my faculty and on the Dean's merit list for the past two years. In mechanical engineering, we learn a wide variety of subjects from chemistry to electronics with lots of maths and physics in between.
