Apart from having 2 years' experience tutoring Mathematics to high school students on a one-to-one basis, I have passed Calculus, Linear Algebra, Financial Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics at university level. As such I not only have a good grasp of the fundamentals of Algebra, but also of the different branches of Mathematics where it is applied.

I have had mathematics in high school and university so far. The mathematical modules that I have passed so far include calculus, mathematical modelling, numerical analysis, general mathematics, linear Algebra, multi-variable calculus and actuarial/financial mathematics. As mentioned in my bio, I am completing a BSc Actuarial and Financial Mathematics degree at the University of Pretoria. Studies in actuarial science and mathematical statistics degrees are built on an academic basis of mathematics, statistics, analysis, and financial management.

I love Maths and I have passion for helping others to get to love and understand maths. I obtained good marks in High school and at University Level. I have 2 years experience tutoring this subject.

I was the top performing mathematics student in during my high school years. I achieved an 88% in mathematics for my final matric results. In addition, I am in my final year in the BSc Actuarial Sciences degree so I am exposed to algebra regularly.

I have been a math student before, I understand the problems or challenges faced by math students hence I can prepare relevant material suitable for students. I also have 2 years of teaching and tutoring math. Above it all, I am very passionate about math hence I took it as a 2nd major.

I was a teacher for Grade 7-9 mathematics for 2 years i mastered the gist and the content of the curriculum. I understand learners challenges in maths at senior phase (GET). I have passion about teaching and conveying information across learners and preparing them for FET.

I think maths is exciting, there is no better feeling than struggling on a sum and then finally figuring out the answer. The problem solving aspect of it is rewarding once you are able to solve the sums. Maths is about making sure that one understands the foundation of it and making sure that a student has a firm grasp on basic concepts in order to build and be able to do more complicated sums. I think knowing this helps me assist learners better as I am able to first ascertain where the foundation is lacking before helping them in problem areas.
