I have a degree in BSc. Applied Maths and achieved a distinctions in Mathematics in matric. I have a passion for this field and I love to show students how much they can achieve with a little guidance.

In teaching algebra I aim to explain through a two step approach. Firstly, a clear intuitive understanding of the laws of algebra and secondly through showing how each problem is related and by understanding a few fundamental ideas, algebra will become second nature.

I have a BSc degree majoring in Mathematics, applied Maths and mathematical statistics. and taught Algebra to High school pupils for several years. I have studied the best learning methods in this subject.

I think maths is exciting, there is no better feeling than struggling on a sum and then finally figuring out the answer. The problem solving aspect of it is rewarding once you are able to solve the sums. Maths is about making sure that one understands the foundation of it and making sure that a student has a firm grasp on basic concepts in order to build and be able to do more complicated sums. I think knowing this helps me assist learners better as I am able to first ascertain where the foundation is lacking before helping them in problem areas.

I've been a Math teacher at an international high school for the past year. The reason you should consider me is because I have a rare ability to help people get rid of their fear of Mathematics. This is because I too had that same fear. In order to get my engineering degree, which I did 10 years after high school, I had to reteach myself the entire high school Math syllabus to be at the same level as the other students. But by figuring it out the hard way, I learned how to make it not only understandable, but relatable, which is why my students are doing so well. That and my animated teaching style make me the ideal tutor.
