Originally from a big family in Joburg, I am currently a second year student at UCT studying Actuarial Science. I have always learned and studied by teaching other people and so have gotten quite good at it over the years! I took physics, accounting and IT in school and thoroughly enjoyed them. After university I would like to work as an investment banker overseas, hopefully in London. I enjoy playing sports like waterpolo, swimming, mountain biking and I have even climbed Kilimanjaro. I believe that every person has the ability to learn and understand anything that is put in front of them, it just has to be taught at a speed and in a way that makes sense to that individual and that is how I approach teaching students.

Born in Namibia I have been raised with German as my Mother Tongue. I am currently working in the Tourism Industry dealing mostly with the German market and conducting all verbal and written communication in German. I have volunteered for numerous months as an English teacher abroad and have tons of experience in a teaching environment and currently in the process of completing my TEFL course. I am 23 years old and live in Cape Town. I have just completed my fourth year studying a Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching. I am fully devoted to child development as I feel very strongly about teaching children independence and facilitating their learning process. I am also an environment enthusiast as our environment plays hand in hand with teaching and learning. I consider myself to be extremely patient and dedicated when put in the teaching and learning field. I am always positive about all situations as having a optimistic outlook on life allows for success and happiness to flourish.
