James v - Tutor in Mowbray
Originally from a big family in Joburg, I am currently a second year student at UCT studying Actuarial Science. I have always learned and studied by teaching other people and so have gotten quite good at it over the years! I took physics, accounting and IT in school and thoroughly enjoyed them. After university I would like to work as an investment banker overseas, hopefully in London. I enjoy playing sports like waterpolo, swimming, mountain biking and I have even climbed Kilimanjaro. I believe that every person has the ability to learn and understand anything that is put in front of them, it just has to be taught at a speed and in a way that makes sense to that individual and that is how I approach teaching students.

Financial Accounting
Financial Accounting/accounting is a big part of my degree as well as my favourite subject at school and highest mark in matric. I frequently perform ratio analysis and give write ups on companies for investment opportunities and so I have a lot of knowledge on this subject

Physics
I enjoyed and did so well in physics I almost did a degree in mechatronics. Physics, in essence, is just applying mathematical thinking and so in being able to teach and understand mathematics: I am able to do the same with physics.

I have been reading advanced books from the age of 10 and so have been exposed to various types of writing styles. This, coupled with my good working knowledge of most topics and my grades achieved for essay writing in school and university makes me the best tutor for writing.
