I recently matriculated in 2020, I wsh to help students improve their marks. My main focus will be maths tutoring. I hope to share my knowledge and understanding in a friendly and caring manner, showing patience and not giving up until you understand.

I was previously working as a junior physical metallurgist before making the switch to software development to pursue something more exciting and interesting. I have a master's degree from the University of Cape Town in materials engineering and have experience tutoring third-year mechanical engineering students in the course materials under stress. I also have experience teaching younger children as I have prior experience tutoring pupils in grade 5 on a range of subjects. I am looking to use my skills to help me supplement my career for the time being so I may achieve my goals as a software developer. I am willing to cover most science-related subjects (maths, physics, chemistry, and biology).

Hi, my name is Liam. I am a 3rd year Psychology and Communications student and a member of my college's SRC. I also spent a year studying science and have a TEFL qualification. Otherwise, my style of tutoring is collaborative as opposed to strict teaching. My hobbies are cricket, soccer, gardening, cooking and reading non fiction. I hope we can make a great team!

I am a PGCE graduate at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. I started studying towards my Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2014 and completed my Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in 2018. During this period my major subjects at university were Transport Economics and Logistics. I studied towards a PGCE majoring in Business Studies and Mathematical Literacy. I completed the postgraduate course summa cum laude in 2020.

My background and experience: I have over 10 years of classroom teaching experience across a range of educational levels. I specialise in making maths accessible to those who do not find it easy, and to whom it does not come naturally. I have endless patience and have worked on many projects and initiatives to find ways to make maths more understandable. I strongly believe that anyone can achieve when it comes to maths, we just need to work on where the gaps are and find strategies to fill them. I started my teaching career in Cape Town and then moved over to the UK where I have been teaching for the last 7 years. I relocated back to Cape Town at the beginning of 2021. My teaching methodology: My teaching methodology is very simple... We do some practice to find what maths bits you do and don't know. I work out why you don't know something (there will be bits missing in the foundations of your understanding of a concept) and we correct the misunderstandings. We then put all the bits back together and keep building on your existing knowledge and allow you to access the more advanced concepts. We don't stress, we just keep going. You've got this.

Hi everyone, If you're looking for a kind and patient tutor to help you with English or Afrikaans, you've just found one. I'm also a language student. I am studying Mandarin (it's really hard), so I understand what its like. I've been teaching English online for 3 years. I have two degrees (what can I say? I like to learn). My working career spans the last twenty-seven years of my life, the last five years of which I spent teaching and lecturing throughout Cambodia. I have taught children from the ages of three to eighteen years old in ENGLISH, across all subjects, in the classroom. I also lectured in person at the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH EAST ASIA to fourth year students in PSYCHOLOGY, ECONOMICS, ENGLISH LITERATURE and BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS. In addition, I have taught students worldwide through online teaching as well as personally in the classroom. I am experienced in teaching both children and adults on the autistic spectrum, as well as other Mental and Physical disabilities.

Hello there! My name is teacher Yolanda, I am 32 years old and from Cape Town, South Africa. My teaching journey started back in 2015 when I started working as a private tutor for students with Special Educational Needs. I worked in similar roles until 2017, when I was appointed in a management position in the private education sector. I have a BA Degree in Humanities from the University of Stellenbosch (2012), a BA Honours Degree in Psychology (2013), and I am very soon to graduate with my PGCE in Foundation Phase (March 2021). I have also received training in Special Needs tutoring and facilitation with an Educational Psychologist. In my free time, I enjoy doing outdoor activities with my family such as camping, hiking and going to the beach.
