I have an extensive university knowledge of mathematics as well as a BSc degree in Chemical Biology. I've been tutoring maths for 7 years and this makes me an experienced tutor not only with the work itself but because I've dealt with many students, I'm able to accommodate each student's individual personality and needs. I'm approachable and friendly and students respond well to my encouragement and guidance on how to do well. I ask lots of questions and give many examples to ensure that students have a firm grip on the subjects they struggle with. I and very passionate about teaching and enjoy helping students reach their aha moment.

I have acquired honours degree in mathematics. I worked in the Department of Applied Mathematics as a student assistant for the first and second year courses. My responsibility was to help students with problems they faced during their weekly tutorial sessions and for marking these problem sets handed in by the students. I also helped them with work they did not understand during lectures.

I have always enjoyed Maths and Science both in school and at university. I have passed university modules for both subjects and have tutored 4 boys for Maths before. Both subjects are very important for students and can often be very tricky. I believe that Mathematics and Science are languages. And languages can and should be conveyed in a way to understand the core meaning/the purpose. Therefore,my teaching methods are different from the way that Maths and Science is taught in school. My methods are more core focused and understanding based.
