Hi there my name is Kayla and I've been tutoring maths and chemistry for 7 years at high school and university level. I'm currently completing my Honours in Chemistry at Stellenbosch. I'm very passionate about teaching and cater to students according to their individual needs since I tutor on a 1-on-1 basis. I'm very excited to meet you and start a great tutoring relationship where you'll feel more prepared for what the school will ask of you and you'll enjoy the subjects you struggle with more.

Tutor
Being a full time honours student I tutor whenever I can. Most days consist of going to classes and attending tutorials as well as preparing for tutoring both as a demonstrator at Stellenbosch university as well as a private tutor. In a lesson slot typically I start off with deciding which work needs to be covered. Then I teach what is necessary until the student understands the concepts. This is followed by examples the student attempts with my supervision to ensure they understand the work well enough to answer these questions. If time permits and the student is prepared enough, we move to exam level questions.

BSc Chemical Biology - Stellenbosch university
I am currently completing my Honours in Chemistry at Stellenbosch university in 2020. I achieved a distinction for my degree but due to clashes of module due to me taking physics as an extra subject in second year the certificate does not state this.
