I have over 15 years experience as a specialist English teacher responsible developing and implementing a curriculum, which covered reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. In addition to this, I have have also taught English as a second language to children and adults in 4 different countries.

I ended my matric year with a final mark of 85% for English Home Language and i am an avid reader as well passionate about creative writing, thus i can try help learners find the joy and creativity in a subject as overlooked as the English language.

I am TEFL-Certified in English instruction, and have spent the last two years teaching English on and off, both online and privately. I matriculated with a distinction in English, I am studying it at university, and am hugely passionate about the language, and this will certainly reflect in the enthusiasm and professionalism with which I tutor.

During my undergraduate degree, i completed two years of English literature studies at the university of the Witwatersrand which i found to be thoroughly enjoyable. In addition to this, i majored in German language and literature which exposed me to literature at different depths and characteristics which i found to be incredibly fascinating and beautiful. Furthermore, my postgraduate German Degree also encompassed courses of English literature which broadened my knowledge of literature through different genres, types and time periods. I do believe that this experience with languages along with my natural love and passion for the subject would make me the best possible tutor.

I am a law student so reading and understanding English is an important part of my career. I have patience with students and i try to use the best method of learning according to the student's understanding. I am excellent at speaking and understanding english literature, i believe reading is important for any student as it opens our minds to new words and improves our knowledge.
