I have maintained a high grade average for English during my years in secondary and tertiary education and I am currently studying English literature, thus I am currently aware and practicing writing and critical analysis techniques - poetry, novel, short stories etc. I am passionate about the English language and I am currently enrolled in a TEFL learning course in order to pursue a further teaching degree. I am currently a third year student triple majoring in Psychology, Criminology and English, therefore I can additionally aid in different learning skills for each individual student.

I have a degree in English Literature from Varsity College where I graduated at the top of my class with 19 distinctions. I have a knack for essay writing & have a tried-and-tested essay formula which can be applied to any subject.

English literature is a strength of mine as I have extensive experience in all levels of literature, as it falls within my scope of practice as a Speech Therapist. I am able to teach students develop literature skills, as well as further improve current literature skills. It was also my strong point in high school, and matriculated with a distinction.

I am a passionate reader and am even busy writing my own book. I love classical literature and plays. My pet joys unlike anyone else is Shakespeare. I have studied English literature to 3rd level at university and taught it to matric level. I have a good knowledge of the requirements for the NSC and IRB curriculum for literature.

I was educated two different curriculums, from grade 8-10 I did Cambridge English Literature and Language, and from grades 11-12 I did NSC English literature and Language. I identified that there was quite a difference between the two, in regards to work load and brain power. I feel like this has opened me up to different techniques, methods and learning structure in understanding what I have read, identifying the underlying meaning, and how to put that into writing. I had close relations with my teachers, resulting to hands on help and attention, allowing me to understand and think more complex.

I have studied First Language English at a private all-girls school from grade 0 through to grade 12. I studied English Literature for 4 years throughout university as it was one of my major subjects for my Bachelor's degree. I am trained as an English as a foreign language teacher and have taught children in Thailand for over a year. I also have online teaching and tutoring experience with children as well as adults. I am currently studying for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education online.

English has always been one of my favourite subjects. I am an avid reader and I am fastidious about grammar, punctuation and the likes! In high school, I did both English first language (FAL) and Advanced Programme English. I achieved a distinction for both. I also have experience in teaching English.
