Grew up in an Afrikaans household and attended an Afrikaans primary school and high school. Obtained a distinction in Afrikaans home language at the end of my matric year (2018) I have very helpful booklets to my dispose.

Afrikaans literature and linguistics has been my life since 2014. I am a devoted Afrikaans literary and language scholar. I have mastered the art of writing essays, quickly understanding and interpreting literature, and mastering grammar and vocabulary. More so, I have a passion for teaching Afrikaans and believe that I can help students make this subject their passion too - from personalising literature to writing well structured essays and answers.

Afrikaans is my home language and I am therefore very capable at teaching learners grammar as well as vocabulary and conversation skills. I have experience working as a private Afrikaans tutor to teenagers as well as adults.

I have 4 years of experience and definitely know what is required to reach your academic goals. I bring innovative and interesting methods of teaching to the table. I also won the award at Unisa for the best Final year Afrikaans student. I study psychology so I believe I have what it takes to bring out the best in students and children.

I am an English speaker but I have a great understanding of the Afrikaans language. I can offer both conversational and academic lessons in Afrikaans. I also took part in Afrikaans public speaking and participated for several years in the ATKV Redenaars as an English speaking student.

My first spoken language is afrikaans. I enjoyed this subject during my high school career and I also received high marks, it was one of my subjects that i was strong in. I will be able to help, because I know the spelling, can help with reading and writing as well as rules of the language etc.

Afrikaans is my home language and I have trained in teaching this language to others, whether complete beginners or intermediate. I know how Afrikaans "thinks" and can help you do the same. After all, it only has three tenses!
