My name is Tamsin van Jaarsveld, I am currently in my 4th and final year of Architecture at Tshwane University of Technology. I would describe myself as being a very patient, studious, positive, flexible, motivated and mature person. I believe I have developed these traits through life experiences and most importantly through the positive influence my family, teachers and friends has had on me.

I love children and enjoy helping and supporting children to reach their full potential.

I received a distinction in matric for Afrikaans and had an average of 81%. I was nominated as the best student in Afrikaans from grade 8 - grade 12. I have six years experience in participating in Afrikaans public speaking and was nominated as the best public speaker from grade 8 - grade 12.

Afrikaans is my home language. I have had the privilege to teach my daughter Afrikaans, from very basic words as a baby to a more formal use of the language for educational purposes. I got a distinction for Afrikaans Home language on matric level.

Afrikaans is my home language, I also love to read Afrikaans books. I have a lot of easy ways to quickly grasp and understand Afrikaans. Learning any language is fun but at the same time difficult. I make use of interactive learning and summaries for you to love Afrikaans just as much as I do.

I love my language and like helping second language speakers of all ages to improve their knowledge of Afrikaans. I can also help primary school first language speakers. My passion is helping learners to get from where they are, academically, to where they need to be - and further! My experience includes private tutoring for Gr 1 - 12 in English and Afrikaans (HL and FAL). I am the mother of three grown sons, have my own transport and enjoy interacting with families in order to get to know the learner better - which in turn makes the tutoring process easier and happier for both myself and the learner. I make use of various styles of teaching - depending on the learner's needs. Exam prep is a time of fun exercises in the form of quizzes, multiple choice questions and verbal answering.

I am a Bcom Marketing Graduate. 25 years of age. Great with kids, hardworking, patient, trustworthy and reliable. I am able to tutor Business, Economics and Afrikaans from grades 4-12. I reside in Faerie Glen, Pretoria East. I currently work as an aupair and have been an aupair for 6.5 years. I am available during the during as well as on weekends (when arranged prior to lesson).
