Hi Student. My name is Alyssa, I am a 29 year old female from the South of Johannesburg. For the past 5 months I've been tutoring English to foreign language students. As a tutor I would best describe myself as patient and pro-active. I have a Teaching English as a foreign language certificate, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics and Psychology. I'm currently studying my honours in Industrial Psychology. When i'm not challenging myself I enjoy reading , baking and indulging in the art of hypnosis.

I genuinely believe that education is an immensely powerful tool in addressing the myriad of global development challenges we currently face, and I am very grateful that I am able to participate in the education process. I try to treat all of my students as individuals, working with them to address their specific challenges and develop a personalized study method.

I did my matric in 2014 and achieved a wonderful Bachelor's with two distinctions; in Accounting and Business Studies.I am a graduate from the University of Johannesburg who holds a Diploma in Accountancy. In 2018, I was one of the top 1% UJ top achievers due to my dedication and strong desire for education. I am currently studying Advanced Diploma in Financial Financial Management(CIMA) at the University of Johannesburg.This is my third year working as an academic tutor at my university. I believe that the knowledge and skills that I have acquired thus far; will add value to another person's life so that they can succeed.

I am a 3rd year student studying BSc in Applied Maths and Pure Maths at the University of Johannesburg. I got 6 distinctions on my final grade 12 results(Pure Mathematics,Life Sciences,Physical Sciences,Geography,English FAL,Setswana HL) I believe I am best at tutoring Maths from grade 8 to 12,judging from the difference I made helping learners in my high school and my siblings too. Also not only do I believe I am good at tutoring Mathematics,I enjoy doing it. The feeling I get from someone succeeding after getting my help is priceless. Not only is this about me getting help financially,it is also about giving it my all to help learners. A lot of highschool learners struggle with pure mathematics,others want to pursue certain courses but are inconvenienced by their Maths results. Hence I see it fit to share my knowledge.

I am an enthusiastic and hardworking person. I enjoy tutoring and I make sure that I meet the expectations of my clients and even go beyond. Helping learners has always been my passion since high school. I completed my Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting degree last year at the University of Johannesburg. I have been in the tutoring field for almost 2years.

I am an experienced, warm and friendly tutor who teach students with understanding, skill and patience. My results with previous students: 10-20% improvement within one term to one year and some students improved with up to 40%. Remember to not postpone too long – Mathematics takes a lot of practice and in most cases starting ‘earlier’ is the best option for you to be able to obtain good results / your desired result.

I Methembe Gingqi have been tutoring for the past three years. I have tutored both privately and for various tutoring organisations. The subjects which I specialise in are core Maths, Physical Sciences, Geography and Biology. I believe in my capabilities especially due to my background as a learner in an IEB private school(Domino Servite Combined Private School) based in KwaZulu Natal. I also believe that in order to be a great tutor one needs to have good communication skills, reasoning and the ability to explain complex concepts in a simplified manner. Although I'm currently doing my third year in BSc Chemical Engineering(Wits University), I have a passion for teaching as it gives me great pleasure to see someone understand a concept they previously struggled with. I am a recent graduate from the university of the Witwatersrand who majored in German and psychology during my undergrad career. I completed an honors degree in German. I have a passion for languages and enjoy literature of all genres, types and time periods. During my Honors degree, i worked as a tutor for students studying their first and second year of German at the University of the Witwatersrand. in addition to this, i would often hold private tutorial classes for students. i absolutely loved conducting lessons and i pride myself on building a solid, trusting relationship with students. I am confident, self-assured and always eager to improve myself and the lives of others. For this reason, i believe i would be an excellent private tutor. I believe that by creating a solid foundation in both your relationship with a student and the work which is being taught, the student's achievements will be limitless!
