Hello! I am a third year mechanical engineering student at the University of Pretoria, young guy from the Free State, looking to help out some learners struggling with maths and science. I got distinctions for both these subjects in matric and really have an interest in science, especially the physics part. Maths has always come very natural for me and I'm keen to help out friends just to understand the basic principles in these subjects, because once you have that, you're sorted.

I am a driven individual, who enjoys helping people in the process of understanding a subject. In my career as an Advocate, I have encountered a variety of people and situations, that has given me invaluable life experience in working with all kinds of people, and has taught me to have an endless amount of patience. I enjoy challenging myself, intellectually and physically. I am known for seeing a bright side to every situation.

I am currently completing my articles at a law firm in Pretoria. I hold a Bcom Law degree and a LLB from the University of Pretoria. I am in the process of completing my LLM with the university as well. I have experience tutoring students in a variety of modules from contracts to family and customary law.

My name is Courtney Brown and I am currently in my second year doing my Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of the Witwatersrand. My majors include Marketing, Management and Economics. I matriculated in 2018 at Hoërskool Linden with an average of 79.2%, and attained distinctions in Afrikaans Home Language, Economics, Life Orientation and Hospitality Studies. I love working with people, especially in a leadership role. I was elected as class captain in 2016 and 2017, and was chosen to be a prefect in matric where I worked a lot with the grade eights. I have a passion for working with children and teenagers, and love assisting them with any type of problem. I am fluent in both Afrikaans and English, as I was raised bilingual.

I am a teacher and graduated (CumLaude) with a B-ed degree. I am a homeschooling parent to three energetic boys. I have a passion for Afrikaans, which is also my mother tongue and I love teaching children. I thrive on that moment when they reply with insight: "Oh, is that how it works!" I do have the patience and enthusiasm which is needed when teaching young children. I have been tutoring Afrikaans for the past seven years on a one-on-one basis from Grade R to 7. I offer online tutoring via GoogeMeet, Skype and Zoom. I teach Afrikaans 1st language and Afrikaans 2nd language.
