Hi there I am a qualified Primary school teacher, with my HONS Degree in psycho educational support. I have 12 years teaching / tutoring experience with both GDE CAPS and private syllabi. I have my own transportation and many success stories.

I have tutored with Gutsy tutoring since August 2018. Before that I tutored for the volunteer tutoring program at Wits because I have always loved helping students wherever I can and imparting the knowledge I have in subjects that I love and excelled in. In this time that I have been with Gutsy tutoring I’ve fallen in love with working with students, and as much I’ve shared knowledge with them I’ve also learnt a lot from them. I recently completed my bachelors and I am currently pursuing my honours in Organisational psychology. Some of the subjects I have done include Anthropology, Linguistics, Sociology, Research statistics, Psychology, and Organisational psychology. Being a psychology major, I have a keen interest in the processes of learning and I am really fascinated by human cognition. As such, tutoring also helps me practically expand my knowledge on the subject matter I deal with in my degree.

I'm a very young ambitious male who is confident in his abilities and able to produce results, enrolled at the University of Pretoria with a degree in Civil Engineering and going part-time at UNISA for an Economics degree. I am a third year university student, studying accounting science and working towards my CASA (chartered accountant). Before commencing my studies I successfully completed my higher certificate in which I was required do two semesters of higher grade mathematics, equivalent to A level (higher standards than Caps and IEB) as well as English. I achieved a distinction in both of these subjects, and finished off with an average of 70% (distinction pass). I am well experienced in teaching student’s Mathematics, English, Afrikaans and many commerce subjects. I do not only tutor my designated subject I also teach study methods, time management and stress management to reduce anxiety and build better exam techniques. I have had experience with kumon, Cambridge, GDE, caps, and IEB as well as home school experience, this is why I feel I would be a good candidate for this job description. I have over 10 years of tutoring experience as an English FL and English SL tutor and 5 years as an Afrikaans SL tutor; I also tutor IELTS and have taught at an International English Language School.
