English Literature was one of my favourite subjects during high school. I loved poetry and realised that there is always multiple ways to interpret something. I also loved shakespeare and I believe that a tutor that enjoys the work will help you understand it better.

I felt very passionate about English at school: writing, reading, literature, poetry, language... anything. English was my best matric mark and I took Advanced Program English at High School as well.

I excelled at English in Highschool. I also completed the IEB Advanced English course and am currently studying first-year English at Wits. Thus, I have had plenty of experience with English literature and how to analyse it.

I achieved excellent marks for my literature in matric and have won a few prizes for some writing pieces. I have a broad vocabulary and a wild imagination as well. I can help with transactional pieces such as essays, letters, summaries as well as set novels for each grade.

I have English on Third Year level at University and specialised in Shakespearean Literature and Creative Writing. I have also been teaching English for the past 5 years including grade 12’s and have also marked Grade 12 final examinations for the last 3 years.

I am an education editor for an internationally accredited higher education institution, and I have former experience in lecturing English and Philosophy to both first and second/foreign language students. I received training and have teaching experience in both Australia and South Africa. This experience comprised both school- and university-level teaching and tutoring.

I have been tutoring English literature for over ten years and believe that it is a subject that everyone can enjoy if approached right. I am passionate about literature and enjoy teaching the deeper meaning behind the stories.

I have studied First Language English at a private all-girls school from grade 0 through to grade 12. I studied English Literature for 4 years throughout university as it was one of my major subjects for my Bachelor's degree. I am trained as an English as a foreign language teacher and have taught children in Thailand for over a year. I also have online teaching and tutoring experience with children as well as adults. I am currently studying for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education online.

With my experience in academia, I believe I can give insight and helpful tips to improve a student's understanding of any given text. I am passionate about literature (in all forms) and well-versed in different essay formats. I can help a student understand what a question is asking, how to approach a topic and how to craft a convincing and valid argument. If someone needs help dissecting text and creating efficient study notes, I can assist with that too.

I enjoy reading, so I am exposed to literature often. I also have a solid background understanding of many classic texts and am confident with the analysis of these texts. i have preciously studied Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde and novels including "Pride and Prejudice," "Jane Eyre," and "Lord of the Flies" to name a few.
