I have a BA (Hons) degree, specialising in English Literature and World Literature in English and have been teaching and tutoring it for 6 years. I am familiar with a variety of setworks across curricula and am passionate about the subject.

I have taught English online and I have obtained a TEFL certificate that allows me to teach English internationally. I am a native English speaker. I also studied English in varsity and I got exceptionally good results.

I have better understanding of the language. My grades levels were always good. I used to help others understand the subject. I had a group in university which I used tutor them for free and also assist in writting their assignments and prepare for test.

I have 18 months experience in teaching, and have served as a college level exam assistant. My teaching style really simplifies the subject for the learner, breaking down terms and emphasising making the work relatable , enjoyable and easy to remember

I have achieved distinctions and awards for best academic performance in English. I also achieved the highest mark for Afrikaans. I am passionate about languages and skills that are necessary for excellence, such as spelling, grammar, sentence construction etc. I love teaching and I am very pedantic when it comes to grammar.

I am a qualified English teacher, and I love to transfer my love of literature to my students. I enjoy reading and writing, and I would love to encourage my students to read and write for pleasure, but also to be able to analyse and make meaning of different texts.

I have a huge passion for English literature, and enjoy reading classic novels, poetry and plays. I write my own poetry and use a lot of techniques I learnt in school in my poems. English literature was always my favourite aspect of English, and I even took Advanced Program (AP) English in grade 11.

I have received 86% for my overall English subject when matriculating high school and have too received 84% for AP English, which is specifically focused on the crucial analysis of written texts. More prominently I have completed three years of undergraduate English studies at Wits University, which means that I have a profound understanding of studying literary works and writing academic essays on a university-equivalent level.

I am passionate about English language and literature- so much that I pursued a postgraduate degree in English Literature. I also worked as a first-year tutor at Wits for a year, teaching literature and helping students with their writing and comprehension skills.

English is a beautiful language. Reading is one of my favorite hobbies and I try to find time everyday to read. I also hope that by helping students understand literature, I will be allowing them to form a love for this language.
