I'm Johan Anker... I'm both a full time English Teacher and Drama Teacher Actor and Singer. I'm motivated to always get the best out of my students and my artistic background allows me to do so creatively! A lesson with me will never be boring, as I don't just teach the content, I perform the content, and communicate it to you on a level that you understand and a manner that suits you! I Cum Lauded my Teaching Certificate and did really well in my Honours Degree at Stellenbosch University. As a full time teacher, I have 6 years of experience and also Im currently a grade 12 ( Senior Year) teacher in South Africa and this makes me an even better tutor! As I know what teachers expect from their learners.

Education
I am currently a full time teacher at the National School of Arts. Here I work as an English and Drama Teacher. I teach Grade 9, 11 and 12 learners. However I am experienced enough to teach grade 10 and 8 too. I start working at school from 7h30 in the morning till 14h30 every weekday but will be available for tutoring afterwards. As a teacher I set papers, examinations, tasks, I mark them and I obviously teach content preparing learners for assessment.

Post Graduate Certificate in Education - Stellenbosch University
I completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education, making me eligible to teach all school levels from Primary School to High School. The subjects I specialised in for teaching are English, Drama and Afrikaans. I managed to obtain a Cum Laude for my PGCE
BEd Honours - Stellenbosch University
I completed my Honours Degree whilst being a full time teacher at the National School of Arts, where I am still currently teaching full time. I did really well in my Honours Degree.
BA Drama - Stellenbosch University
I completed my Bachelor’s in Drama with English Studies and Afrikaans Netherlands as my BA subjects of specialisation.

I am also a professional actor and I am signed to one of South Africa’s leading acting agencies; Elysian Management. Furthermore, I have also directed many productions of which one has been on the Mandela Stage during 2020 titled Hip Hop Hamlet.
