My background and experience: I have over 10 years of classroom teaching experience across a range of educational levels. I specialise in making maths accessible to those who do not find it easy, and to whom it does not come naturally. I have endless patience and have worked on many projects and initiatives to find ways to make maths more understandable. I strongly believe that anyone can achieve when it comes to maths, we just need to work on where the gaps are and find strategies to fill them. I started my teaching career in Cape Town and then moved over to the UK where I have been teaching for the last 7 years. I relocated back to Cape Town at the beginning of 2021. My teaching methodology: My teaching methodology is very simple... We do some practice to find what maths bits you do and don't know. I work out why you don't know something (there will be bits missing in the foundations of your understanding of a concept) and we correct the misunderstandings. We then put all the bits back together and keep building on your existing knowledge and allow you to access the more advanced concepts. We don't stress, we just keep going. You've got this.
