In grade 12 I obtained a distinction for mathematics, also throughout my school career I was always the top mathematics student. It has always been a passion of mine. Throughout my school career, I helped other students with mathematics. I am also continuously tutoring students in this subject.

Mathematics requires careful explanation and patience. As a teacher you have to put yourself in each students shoes and try understand where they are getting confused and break it down into manageable sections and explanations.

I have tutored Mathematics both as voluntary work and as a private tutor. Through my experience I have noted that many students generally dread the subject and that in itself affects their performance aside from the subject content itself. I personally thoroughly enjoy mathematics and work towards my students being comfortable with it at the very least and enjoying it too in the best case scenario.

I am very passionate about maths and think that I would be an excellent tutor. I am a very patient and friendly person and will do my absolute utmost to ensure that each individual reaches their maximum potential.

Besides the fact that I got the chance to learn from amazing mathematics teachers and lecturer, I have always been passionate about the subject. I have always considered Mathematics as a mind game. That mindset really changed my way of looking at the subject and contributed to my success in the subject. My tutoring method is based on helping and encouraging my tutees to find the best and easiest way for them to understand and solve any mathematical equation or problem they come across. I also share the different tricks I learnt and how to use them to remember formulas and how to apply them in different equations. I have had a good experience with my previous tutees and I really hope that I am able to make a difference and help my next tutees, not only pass the subject but aim at least a distinction.

I am the best tutor because I have a firm grasp of Mathematical principles and concepts from high school where I excelled in Mathematics. My knowledge was further solidified in university where I studied Engineering up to Masters level.

I got a level 7 in Matric and went further to do Pure Mathematics in my Actuarial Science degree. I have the patience to teach and can offer simple methods for learner to understand the concepts. My maths teacher used to always say "Basics" and I couldn't agree with her more.

I received top marks in my high school for this subject over consecutive years, I also have my B.Eng degree in Electrical and Electronic engineering, which is a field that is predominantly centered around Mathematics. I chose high level Mathematics and not Literacy for gr. 10-12.
