I have a good knowledge of Mathematics and I also have it as a subject at University. I can help a primary school learner understand the very basics of Maths so that they have a solid foundation to build upon. I can help High School learners further their knowledge, and help them understand the concepts and how to apply them on their own.

I am passionate about teaching numbers. I want to open a new world to the learners to be able to get a better understanding of Mathematics. I will always approach learners with a warm and welcoming way. Teaching maths to kids who don't want to be there is one of the most difficult jobs in the world. But when you get their trust and you get their intrinsic motivation going, it is the most rewarding. It does take spark and personality to get there. Math pleases me, and I get to share that pleasure with kids every day. I love puzzles that are just at the far edges of my comfort zone. And some days in class, I find a way to make math feel like one of those puzzles, the ones that are just hard enough to be satisfying to solve. On those days, I can get that part of my students’ brains to light up. It also helps learners to think critically and it helps me to keep my thinking going. I teach math because it is beautiful. Because structure and symmetry and pattern have an aesthetic that speaks to me. And the more you know about math, the more you start to see that structure in more and more places.

I have completed my B.Ed. Senior and FET (2014-2017) Degree focused in Mathematics and EGD (engineering graphics and design). I am comfortable teaching students from primary school up until Gr. 10 and find this subject interesting to teach.

I have been a private maths tutor for three years now and during that time I feel I’ve learnt a few things which you might find useful to know. (I can also provide references). Tutoring was a great way of helping to boost my income. Because of my qualifications I knew that I had the knowledge to help students despite having studied a different courses / qualifications. Mathematics really is a “global language” which everyone studies and only varies slightly country to country.

Throughout my school career I obtained above average marks in Mathematics and also tutored primary and secondary school learners during my Matric year. I enjoy mathematics and want to help set a good base for the future of the learners.

I love Mathematics and I would love to spread to love for it to other people as well. Nobody is bad in maths its just that we lack the love for it as students.Math uses critical thinking and builds problem-solving skills. Learning to look at a problem—whether a math problem or a life problem—and come up with a plan is an important skill to practice.

With more than 6 years’ experience as a Math Tutor, I am adept in high school math, undergraduate math, and graduate level mathematics and statistics. Coupled with this are brilliant communication and interaction skills with students.

I am currently a community service pharmacist, I completed my Masters in pharmacy. I had obtained A's in Afrikaans, Mathematics, Physical Science, Life Sciences, Geography and English in matric in 2013. I am apart of the International Golden Key Society which consists of the top 15% at UKZN. I also have an online diploma in teaching English as a Foreign language

I am currently a 3rd year engineering student at the university of Pretoria.

The reason why I would only be able to do primary schools, is because I have not done matric Mathematics in two years, although I did quite good with Mathematics. I can still recall all the mathematical rules and concepts, and would therefore be able to assist younger learners.
