I am a mother of two, who up until recently was a full time mother. I studied four years of Electronic Engineering prior to starting a family and relocating, with only a final design outstanding. I am now in my third year of studying towards my BEd. I love mathematics but physics earns a close second place. I am comfortable with tutoring Maths Grade 8 to 12 and Physics Grade 8 to 10. My hobbies include rollerblading, swimming, having fun with my children and socialising with friends. I have lived in various parts of the world including Australia, Canada and Scotland. I love travelling, learning about different cultures and meeting new people.

I am currently in my final year of Civil Engineering at the University of Pretoria. I am passionate about Math and Science and believe that a basic understanding of both should be a cornerstone of every child's education. I'm am an innovative and passionate Maths and Science lover. I am patient and understanding and believe that with the right education your possibilities are endless. I enjoy a challenge and see myself as an alternative thinker , trying to solve problems in unconventional ways. I believe mathematics and science is more than understanding a subject, as it is learning a lifestyle. It is constantly challenging the mind and inspiring creative thinking in order to solve problems. My aim is to help learners better grasp the concept of why they are learning the work and what the real world application is , rather than just showing them how.

Anja is a passionate teacher who strongly believes that every person deserves a fair chance to receive a quality education. She strives to tailor her lessons and tutoring sessions to play on the students' strengths. Anja works with the parents and the student and together come up with a solution on how to approach the learning of the student. She knows that the traditional school system does not work for every child. She likes to think outside of the box when it comes to education and is invested in all her students' wellbeing.

I am an organized, disciplined individual with good time and classroom management skills with the ability to stick to deadlines. I believe that this will translate into being a successful tutor. I believe that I am a patient, caring individual with the ability to learn from the people around me. It is my goal to combine my wide range of skills and experience with my abilities as a hardworking, dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic individual to make a positive contribution to the students that I will be dealing with.

I enjoy experimenting with food, such as trying new recipes. I am also very passionate about interior design. In my spare time I enjoy reading and I have a great love for animals. Furthermore I enjoy setting goals for myself to achieve and fulfill them.

I love a challenge, i am always attempting very hard Math quizzes. I enjoy playing sudoku and chess. All my students love me because, in their own words; "Mandy you explain it so simple and it is easy to understand". I aim to break the notion that Maths is hard.

I am postgraduate student with a specialization in Medicinal Chemistry. I have a Bachelor of science majoring in Chemistry and geology. I am a expert in lab work and writing scientific reports,where the experimental findings are easily conveyed and i naturally enjoy maths, I have been a vacation research assistant for three years where I have worked on various research Master projects from organometallic complexes to carbon and oxygen isotope dating in terms of sample preparation. My strong will and determined has led my passion of giving back to the community to be channeled through various different but equally rewarding projects such as Orientation leader at university, Project leader for a program called Tipping point and being a authoritative figure in my residence at university. I believe these roles have adequately enhanced my time management and organizational skills.
