I am completely fluent in both English and Afrikaans. I have received A’s for Afrikaans throughout my Schooling Career and have always helped people in my classes. Now with my teaching degree and me studying Afrikaans up to University level I have even more knowledge of the language and how to effectively teach it. I would love to teach you this expressive language!

I am fluent in the Afrikaans language, I translate in my lessons in order for my learners to grasp the language. I can determine learners weak points and improve on it. My lessons are engaging and student centered and I believe in building relationships with my learners to grasp their understanding and abilities.

Afrikaans is my home language and I have a deep love and appreciation for the language and culture. I have a passion for reading and writing and enjoy sharing this with my students. Afrikaans literature and linguistics has been my life since 2014. I am a devoted Afrikaans literary and language scholar. I have mastered the art of writing essays, quickly understanding and interpreting literature, and mastering grammar and vocabulary. More so, I have a passion for teaching Afrikaans and believe that I can help students make this subject their passion too - from personalising literature to writing well structured essays and answers.

Afrikaans is my mother-tongue, and I absolutely love it. I had a wonderful teacher in high school who inspired me to want to pursue university studies in Afrikaans. I love that it is a living language and ever-changing, and I want to be part of it as much as I can.

Afrikaans is much easier than you think it is. Once you know the basics and have increased your vocabulary , you will be will be amazed at how quickly you grasp this language and how your results will improve.

I graduated high school as the best student in the country in Afrikaans Home Language, with an average of 96%. I am an avid reader of both prose and poetry and also write myself. I have an excellent vocabulary and knowledge of the rules, structure and technical side of the language
