I enjoy speaking the afrikaans language, it glides off the tongue and it is east to learn especially. I attended an Afrikaans preschool so it has become part of me. I also got a distinction during matric.

I love Afrikaans literature. I matriculated with a final mark of 96% for Afrikaans First Additional language. Furthermore I am also a native Afrikaans speaker which gives me an added advantage in being able to explain grammatical and literature related aspects.

I am well versed in all aspects of languages. I am fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English), and can teach all aspects of both. Whether you need conversational-style language, or reading and writing tips, or even how to do public speaking, I can cover them all.

I am an english person, however, there is a lot of afrikaans in my family and so naturally, I picked up a lot of it at a very young age, just by being exposed to it by those around me. This makes me the ideal tutor for someone looking for an afrikaans additional language teacher. I am able to help with anything from spelling, to reading, grammar and pronunciation. Being English myself, I am able to relate to other english people who are having a hard time picking up or understanding certain things.

I have my BEd degree in primary or Foundation Phase Education and I taught/tutored Grade 1-3 learners for about six months. I was private tutor/teacher for a family. I had to plan and present lessons in the subject and create worksheets and assessments.

I have experience with teaching and tutoring young children.I also have a TEFL teaching certificate. I also grew up in a bilingual home and am fluent in Afrikaans and English.I also had afrikaanse as a "Huistaal" in high school.
