I love my home language and would like to see you enjoy it as much as I do. I matriculated from Helpmekaar Kollege, an IEB afrikaans highschool, and received a distinction for Afrikaans. Afrikaans is a such beautiful language that could seem intimidating to some and that is why I'm here.

Afrikaans is my native tongue and I have a great love for it. It is also one of the languages that I am majoring in as a last year University student. I have tutored some of my fellow university students with great results. As an AET facilitator with about nine years experience in teaching, you can trust that I will be a great tutor for you.

I am an English speaker but I have a great understanding of the Afrikaans language. I can offer both conversational and academic lessons in Afrikaans. I also took part in Afrikaans public speaking and participated for several years in the ATKV Redenaars as an English speaking student.

I took Afrikaans to matric as a second language and received a distinction (IEB). Writing in Afrikaans is a strong suit of mine and I am able to teach Afrikaans language as well as help with orals and literature.

I achieved an A for Afrikaans in High School and really enjoy both writing and speaking the language. Moving from Durban to Stellenbosch has helped me to develop more practical speaking skills and so I believe I am fairly proficient in the subject of Afrikaans. I grew up in an Afrikaans town and even though English is my home language. I did attend an Afrikaans school where I did most of my subjects until Matric in Afrikaans. I also am able to socialise fluently in Afrikaans. I did extremely well for Afrikaans as a subject in Matric and received 94%. I also received a School and District award for Afrikaans. I have a good understanding of Afrikaans literary devices, poetic devices, grammar and sentence construction, as well as a broad vocabulary.

Afrikaans was my best Matric result out of all my subjects. I have grown up amongst Afrikaans family, so am very familiar with the language. I am confident with Afrikaans terminology and conversational aspects as well as the many language aspects of Afrikaans in the academic sense, including concepts like lydende en bedrywende vorm, indirekte rede, trappe van vergelyking, betreklike voornaamwoorde etc.

My home language is Afrikaans and I have obtained great marks for Afrikaans in High School. It is my favorite subject and easy for me to teach and explain to other people. Currently I am teaching a 5 year old child how to speak Afrikaans

My first spoken language is afrikaans. I enjoyed this subject during my high school career and I also received high marks, it was one of my subjects that i was strong in. I will be able to help, because I know the spelling, can help with reading and writing as well as rules of the language etc.
