-I have several experience teaching Afrikaans F.A.L. Grade 3, 6(currently working as)7,8,9,10. -It's my home language. - I am proud of this beautiful language, and would love to teach learners not to see this as a difficult subject, but rather to start enjoying it.

My home language is Afrikaans so it comes naturally. I also got a distinction for Afrikaans in matric and have always loved the language. Everyone can learn to speak, write or read Afrikaans with enough practice. It is actually quite simple.

Afrikaans is a complicated language to learn whether it is your first, second or third language. It takes time, practice and patience. I feel that I can teach the language better than most. I have patience. I know all the theory and know fun ways to teach anyone the language in a fun way guaranteed that the information will stick

With the exposure I have had, I've been able to expand on key characteristics such as patience, empathy, understanding and care which enables me to be a great tutor. I believe tutoring should be tailored to the specific student and I have become adept in identifying the best means for a student to achieve a deep understanding of the work/subject at hand. I would also consider myself to be quite relatable and I would always ensure that the student is comfortable and confident to participate in lessons and to work towards any goals that are set.

I have a passion for it and believe that by sharing my passion, work towards the subject becomes effortless! I am able to share the necessary rules, structure and methods that will aid in Afrikaans being fun to learn!

I graduated top 1% in the country for Afrikaans First Additional Language (because my school didn't offer Afrikaans Home Language). I speak Afrikaans at home but I have been through 12 years of Afrikaans at school, so I am confident in saying I know all the rules for writing and speaking the language. (yes, STOMPI)

I received 78% for Afrikaans in Matric and have been tutoring the subject for 7 years. I have a track record of helping students improve their vocabulary and practice all language skills, to improve marks by 15-20% in the first 6 months.

Grew up in an Afrikaans household and attended an Afrikaans primary school and high school. Obtained a distinction in Afrikaans home language at the end of my matric year (2018) I have very helpful booklets to my dispose.

Afrikaans is not my home language, however this does imply that I worked hard and learned how to preform well in Afrikaans to obtain my distinction in matric as my first additional language. I went from getting 50's in Afrikaans in primary school to getting distinctions in matric. I know how it feels to think learning Afrikaans is impossible but it really isn't once you learn how to put the work in.
